Cellarman’s Pub and Brewery is a local Sherman joint that offers a wide variety of dishes and drinks. Located on Texoma Parkway, near La Mesa Mexican Cantina, the restaurant was established in 1998, and they have been serving Sherman natives ever since.
Cellarman’s offers a variety of pub fare, including potato skins, pizzas, burgers and chicken. For those who want to drink at their bar, they also serve drinks such as special beers they brew in house, as well as mixed shots. They also serve lighter fare such as salads, and I would highly recommend trying their steakhouse salad.
My personal favorite item to order as an appetizer at Cellarman’s is the pizza fries: fries topped with parmesan cheese and pepperoni slices with sides of marinara sauce and ranch dressing. These fries are beer-battered and are a great choice for those lovers of pizza and french fries! If you want a full meal, I would also recommend trying the loaded baked potato, with a side of their famous pub sauce.
A fun fact about the restaurant is that Cellarman’s is fondly called “Celly’s” by many Austin College students who frequent the restaurant. It is an unofficial birthday tradition for many AC students to go to Cellarman’s on their 21st birthdays and order the Stoplight shots.
